Magog's annual Winter Festival
Magog's annual Fête des Neiges takes place every February at Merry Point Park. The festival is strongly oriented towards children and families. Entrance is free. Most of the exhibits and events are sponsored by local merchants.
The events include ice sculptures, tube slides, dog sled rides, horse drawn sleigh rides, marshmellow roasts and skidoo ATV rides offered by the Magog police department. One of the highlights of the festival is to see the Mayor of Magog and town officials jumping into icy water on the edge of Lake Memphremagog. It's a tradition that maybe some other politicians should try! This is such a great opportunity to spend time with your family and those in the area. It can be easy in our everyday lives to get caught up in work , seeing the same people, playing games at places such as http://www.partycasino.com/ and just getting stuck in routines. It is events like this that can change all that and offer you a really fun time. If you haven't been before then this is the year to come along and enjoy the festival.
Below is a Flash slide show which includes a music soundtrack, so turn up your speakers! The slide show is 14 MB so you will need a broadband connection to view it.
